In the Neurospicy Art collection, there are 5 limited edition pieces in the Great Minds series and 1 open edition that includes 4 of them.

The series started when I asked myself the fun question: they were iconic artists that were also great people - I wonder what their brain looked like?

Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter who lived from 1872 to 1944 and became a key figure in modern abstract art. He started by painting landscapes and trees but slowly moved toward very simple, abstract pictures.

Mondrian is best known for paintings made of straight black lines and rectangles filled with red, blue, yellow, white, and sometimes grey. He believed that using only basic shapes and primary colours could express balance and harmony.

Mondrian helped start the Dutch art movement De Stijl, which focused on simple, geometric forms. His work has influenced not only painting but also design, architecture, and fashion.

I’ve always loved Mondrian’s work and am so glad I was able to find a fun way to acknowledge and pay homage to him in this project.
