In the brain, it evokes timelessness via default mode network rumination on origins, quieting prefrontal time-tracking while hippocampus tags eternal concepts, mirroring meditative states where amygdala calms for profound awe.

Philosophers like Plato argued the human mind (soul) shares this immortal nature, being immaterial and akin to eternal Forms, surviving body death through reason and recollection.
