38 - Great Minds (Robert Indiana)

In the Neurospicy Art collection, there are 5 limited edition pieces in the Great Minds series and 1 open edition that includes 4 of them.

The series started when I asked myself the fun question: they were iconic artists that were also great people - I wonder what their brain looked like?

Robert Indiana was an American artist who lived from 1928 to 2018 and became an important figure in pop art. He began with more traditional painting and printmaking before focusing on bold words, numbers, and symbols.

Indiana is best known for his simple, strong images built from short words, especially his famous “LOVE” design with stacked letters and a tilted “O.” He often used bright, flat colors and clear, graphic shapes that look a bit like signs or logos.

Indiana played a key role in pop art, which used everyday images and commercial-style graphics to make fine art. His work has influenced painting, sculpture, graphic design, and public art, and his “LOVE” image has become a global cultural icon.

I’ve always loved the art of Robert Indiana and it was a joy to create this piece. I’m so glad I was able to find a fun way to acknowledge and pay homage to him in this project.

Available in 4 hand numbered limited editions of 600, premium fine art museum-grade archival quality prints, from only $195.

100% of the profits from this project will be donated to brain cancer research.
